As the fine tradition and valuable spiritual wealth formed by the CPC in its long-term revolutionary practice, the "two roads" spirit has profound historical connotation and practical significance. In order to better inherit and promote the spirit of the "Two Roads", on November 24th, the Second Party Branch of the Undergraduate Party Committee of the School of Information Technology carried out a series of party and youth building activities at the History Museum of the Science City campus, titled "Inheriting the Spirit of the Two Roads, Remembering the History of the School, and Building Youth Dreams Together". This event was hosted by branch teachers, party members Peng Ya, Su Qin, Li Xuejing, and student Hao Yu, with over 100 students participating.
Entering the School History Museum, led by Hao Yu, the students visited various exhibition areas and gained a deep understanding of the development process of the school from its establishment to the present. From the early establishment of the school, to the development and growth after the reform and opening up, and in recent years, outstanding achievements have been made in talent cultivation, scientific and technological achievements, etc. At the same time, the museum collects a large number of precious photos from the past, vividly reproducing the historical style of the school. Each piece is full of historical traces, allowing students to have a more comprehensive understanding of the development process of the school.
In the "Two Roads" spirit exhibition hall, Teacher Peng Ya explained the historical background and spiritual connotations of the two routes. For over 60 years, the Sichuan Tibet and Qinghai Tibet highways have been affectionately referred to by the Tibetan people as the "Golden Bridge of Happiness" and "Auspicious Rainbow". The construction of these two highways not only improves their lives, but also brings a spiritual wealth, which is the "Two Roads" spirit we sing: one is not afraid of hardship, and the other is not afraid of death; Stubborn struggle, willing to be a roadstone; A military civilian family, national unity. And our school has always adhered to and vigorously promoted the spirit of the "Two Roads", making positive contributions to the construction of transportation in our country.
Next, Li Xuejing leads her classmates into the alumni section of "The Emergence of Talents". Here, they feel the tremendous contribution that Jiaotong University has made to the country and society. Teacher Li gave a detailed explanation of the outstanding alumni who have emerged in various periods of the school. Teacher Li said that the alumni of Chongqing Jiaotong University have achieved remarkable results in their respective fields. They have not only made great contributions to the development of the country, but also added brilliance to the development and honor of the school. He hopes that through this event, more people will learn about the glorious history of Jiaotong University and the demeanor of its alumni, inspiring them to write their own future.
Finally, Teacher Su Qin will introduce the overview of the college and the achievements of the school's party building to everyone. Since its establishment, the school has only offered two majors, and since its development, it has a complete range of disciplines, making it a competitive campus. At the same time, the school insists on continuously strengthening and improving party building and ideological and political work. Teacher Su, based on personal experience, shared the joy of party building work with classmates and talked about it with great enthusiasm.
After the visit, the students expressed great benefits. Through this visit, not only did I gain an understanding of the school's historical evolution and development changes, but I also deepened my understanding of the spirit of the "Two Roads" and inspired my determination to contribute to the cause of our country.
